Tara carries a load of the biggest onion rings I’ve ever seen.
Nacogdoches, TX – This is the oldest town in Texas. One hears everything is bigger in Texas. I can say that the biggest onion rings I’ve ever seen or eaten is here at Mr. Will’s. These things weigh more than my son did when he was born. They’re made from a huge onion appropriately called the Colossal Onion.
Mr. Will takes this huge onion and does just single batter, not even double batter, but triple batters it and fries it into the heaviest onion ring you’ll find.
These go great with the fried fish or his incredible ribs, pick one of these up and the meat simple falls away from the bone.
I’ll write more about the decadent pies. The Reese’s, Millionaire and Black Forest pies are prepared right in the store and could easily be served in the finest white linen restaurants.
