THIS MONTH IN NACS MAGAZINE
BOISE, IDAHO – The Regina Store opened right here on the Oregon Trail in 1891. Today, the Oregon Trail is now I-84. The Regina Store is now the Boise Stage Stop. If you great food, friendly people in an Old West setting, then this is the place to stop. When I say “Old West setting” I don’t mean decorations. They’ve recreated an authentic western town complete with a saloon, a general store and occasionally, a gunfight.
They cover everything here. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and even have an Aeroponic garden inside. You can watch the kitchen staff harvest the vegetables for you salad. It doesn’t get fresher than that.
My focus is on food. The Boise Stage Stop is serves generous portions. The menu is expanding to include a large selection of seafood. Samantha McDonald, marketing executive, says “breakfast is phenomenal.” She recommends the biscuits and gravy. What else would a cowboy have before saddling up and heading out to the range.
